vRanger replication pass gets to processing binaries stage and seems to be hung at 14%
The processing binaries step in the vRanger replication process is where we are building block mappings (vzmap files) on the target VA.
If running on ESX console based replication the vzmap files would be created on the target ESX host console.
The larger the VM the longer these files take to build. In the case of VMs over 100GB this process can take a lot longer giving the impression that the replication is hung.
To verify that the replication is not hung and map files are being created please check the following.
1. SSH into the target side VA
2. cd /scratch/sdb
3. ls -lah and look for VM with most current time stamp.
4. cd <uuid of most current time stamp from command above>
5. watch -d 'ls -lah'
You should see the vzmap files size and timestamp update.
NOTE: if you are replicating more than one VM you may have to check more than one directory to find VM in step 4.
