Email notifications after task completion in vRanger 5.x are no longer sent. SMTP settings are verified to be correct and test emails are sent without issue.
This can result from corruption in the dbo.emailaddress table.
1. Launch the SQL Management Studio Express
2. Connect to the db, navigate to the dbo.emailaddress table.
3. Right-click the table, select "Open Table" (if using Management Studio for 2008, select "Edit top 200 Rows" instead of "Open Table".
4. When the table opens, DELETE the email address rows (entire rows). Leave the "NULL" value row.
5. Close the table to commit the changes.
6. On the vRanger machine, go to Start--->Programs--->Vizioncore--->vRangerpro---->vRangerpro Database and re-run the database setup.
7. Stop/start the vRanger services.
8. Launch vRanger.
9. Re-run the setup wizard from the "Tools" menu, and re-enter the email notification portion.
