Description
When a quieced snapshot is used for a vRanger backup or is created via the vSphere client Windows 2008 R2 shows NTFS errors in the system logs in the Event Viewer

Cause
The issue is related to the newest VMware tools.

Resolution
VMware is aware of these errors/warnings and these can be safely ignored, currently there is no workaround for the errors. VMware has filed an internal bug report for it, but they have no timeline on a fix or workaround.
