vRanger backups going to an Iomega StorCenter NAS device as a Repository start to write to the device, then fail. The backup is retried twice more, then ultimately fails with an error stating "can't write 2654" and "there is an error in the application".
The IOmega StorCenter could have outdated firmware/problems with the Samba driver used for CIFS (Windows) shares created on it. Consult the StorCenter's management software for current version/update information.
1. Download the firmware revision and install it on the Iomega Device. Firmware version 3.1.14.995 or later confirmed to work.
