vRanger FLR handles CentOS VM savepoint as if it was a Windows VM savepoint. FLR against a CentOS VM savepoint does not work.
vRanger is looking for the word "Linux" in VmConfig.metadata file. If tags <guestFullName> and <alternateGuestName> do not contain it, vRanger will treat the CentOS VM savepoint as a Windows VM savepoint.
Please use one of the options below to correct your issue.
1. Permanent fix:
a. Power VM down.
b. In Virtual Center open VM Properties - Options tab and switch Guest Operating System to any 'Red Hat' version. Each of them contain word "Linux".
c. Run backup. The created savepoint will be treated by FLR properly.
2. Fix for existing savepoints:
a. Edit VmConfig.metadata file in any text editor.
b. Make sure <guestFullName> and <alternateGuestName> tags have word 'Linux" (e.g. “CentOS 4/5 Linux (32-bit)”).
c. Perform "FLR from Manifest"
