Backup fails with "Error message: -1 - Process must exit before requested information can be determi
Description

On further investigation more errors were revealed: "object reference not set to an instance of an object", "could not delete savepoints because files are missing".
Cause

One of the classic examples of random errors due to Ranger Service memory leakage.
Ranger 5.5 on VM server 2008. Services have not been restarted for few months. Idle Vizioncore.vRanger.Service.exe consumes 1GB of memory.
Resolution

Ranger services should be restarted. Next backup run should be successful.
