Steps how to Replicate a VM (4044117)

The customer doesnt know how to replicate a Virtual Machine

1. In the My Inventory of vRanger GUI - locate the VM you want to replicate
2. Right click on it and select Replicate
3. In the Replication Wizard you select Advanced and type a Job Name
4. Type the Target VM Name and select the Target Host where you want to replication to go and click next
5. In the Replication Type you choose Differential Replication (Hybrid is only available for ESX hosts) and click next
6. In the Network Mappings, you select what Network Adapter the VM will use and click next
7. In the Disk Mapping, select which datastore on the Target the VM should be and click next
8. In the Transport Failover you select the following:
8.1 Check destination for free space
8.2 Update notes with the latest replication results
8.3 Enable guest quiescing (if you VM is running on SQL)
8.4 Enable Active Block Mapping (ABM) (if you enabled the Change Block Tracking (CBT) prior on running the replication)
9. In the Schedule Selection, check "This will be an on demand job and does not require a recurrence schedule" and click next
10. In the email notification, select and email if you desire to get a report when the job is done and click next
11. Finally, check "Run the job after Finish is clicked." and click Finish.
