After upgrading to 5.4 all Lan-Free (SAN or HotAdd) based backups are defaulting to use Network b (4043499)

After recently upgrading to 5.4.0 you notice that your Lan-Free (VDDK SAN or HotAdd) backup jobs are now performing network based backups. When the old backup jobs had the option to perform Lan-Free selected. The backups are completing, but going over the LAN.

Under investigation

To correct this, you will need to edit each backup job under the Transport Selection.

1. Click Custom transport selection
2. Check “On this vRanger machine”
3. Uncheck “On a vRanger virtual appliance”
4. Check “Advance [SAN / HotAdd]
5. Check LAN
6. Keep clicking next to save the job.
