Customer got a new trial license to add a further ESXi server for testing, the original licence was in place, when he tried to add the trial test license he got the following error :
"A Unhandeled Exception has occured" when he selected "Tools>Options>License" the same happend when running the startup Wizzard.
The cause of the issue seems to stem from a corrupted VRanger SQL DB, the customer was logged on to the machine that SQL Studio Express and VRAnger was installed on, when trying to backup the VRanger DB he got a message that it was not possible to connect to the VRanger DB, customer tried to select a table within the VRanger DB and got the same message.
As the VRanger DB was corrupted the customer deceided to run a fresh install and is now backing up the VRanger DB on a weekly basis as this had never been done before in the past.
