The task counts are configured in Tools > Options > Configuration (My Jobs) have been changed and you need to place set them backup to the default settings.
Running more tasks than your environment can handle can cause the backups to fail.
If you have chanced the task counts in vRanger and your jobs have begun to fail please use the task counts below to set vRanger to the default task counts.
Maximum number of tasks running on vRanger (>=1): 100
Maximum number of tasks running off a LUN (1-5): 3 (This is the number of reads off a single LUN)
Maximum number of tasks running on host (1-4): 1 (This is how many backups run against a single ESX(i) host at the same time)
Maximum number of tasks running per repository (>=1): 3 (This is the number of writes to your repository at the same time)
Maximum number of tasks running locally (1-20): 3 (This is the number of backups running at the same time on the vRanger server at the same time because ESXi, Lan-free backups are being proxy(ed) through the vRanger machine
Maximum number of tasks running per VA (1-8): 2
Task Timeout (1 – 999 hours): 24 (This is for how many hours a task (such as backup) can run before it times out (aborts). This setting is per Virtual Machine (VM) and not the job as a whole)
Minimum space needed on host (GBS): 6 (This setting is the minimum amount of space free on the datastore of the VM being backed up)
