Creating a quiesced backup of a Window 2008 R2 virtual machine generates Event IDs 57 (4036772)

Quiesced backups with vRanger 5.5 & Up flagging error in Windows Event Logs:

"Event ID 57 NTFS Warning
The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur."

VMware and Microsoft reports that this is a misleading error and no actual corruption occurs.

There is/was a known bug in the VMTools release ESX/ESXi 4.1 Update 1, however, in this particular instance, this issue is only seen when doing a vRanger backup with "Enable Guest Quiescing" checked.

Note:

vRanger Development has not been able to reproduce this issue and has advised to acknowledge the VMware and Microsoft notifications on this error message. Much like in the VMware and Microsoft articles, there is no actual corruption, and Guest Quiescing from vRanger is working correctly. For reference, please see the below KBs from VMware and Microsoft.
