Regular restore job for Savepoint from My Repository view fails with "Invalid datastore format '[]/vmfs/volumes/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx/VM_Folder/VM_name.vmx"
Same error is seen in vSphere Client
Please perform one of the options below to resolve your issue.
1. In vSphere Client, select ESX(i) host that you need to restore a VM to.
2. Right click and select 'Rescan for datastores'. Let it complete.
3. Run the same restore job once again this time it should be able to run correctly.
There could be another reason for this error: a custom ISO is attached to the VM when it was backed up.
1. Look for <device xsi:type="VirtualCdrom"> tag in VmConfig.metadata and check if it points to some ISO.
