When attempting to upgrade form version 5.5 to version 7 the installer gets stuck on the vRanger Catalog Service screen and cant click Next to proceed with the installation.
- The Install vRanger Catalog Service is greyed out.
- There may also potentially be an older database listed in the Database Server field.
- Database Server and Database Name dropdown fields are showing up as empty.
An older instance of vRanger catalog service is installed on the vRanger machine. This conflicts with the natural install of the catalog components from vRanger 7.
Go to Add/ Remove Programs.
Find Catalog Manager- right click and uninstall.
Restart the vRanger 7 installation and the installer should proceed without issues.
