When performing a backup to a CIFS USB repository the following error is observed: “Error: 2299 - [cifs_cant_rename_detail] CIFS can't rename (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process)" appears
USB drive inside the disk management was set to quick removal option. With that option it was not ready to keep up with the amount of data processed in the backup task.
Following these steps, change Quick Removal setting to Performance inside Disk Management:
1. Inside the Administrative Tools go to Device Manager
2. Choose Disk Management
3. Right click on the USB drive and click Properties
4. Click on the Policies Tab, change from Quick Removal to Performance
