A possible cause is a disconnect with the vRanger database.
To resolve this we need to reestablish the link with the vRanger database.
- Close the vRanger GUI
- Click on Srtart>All Programs>Quest Software>vRanger Database
- Click Next
- Select the option to Switch to a different vRanger database
- Select the appropriate authentication method
- Click Next
- Provide the requested database location and account information
- Click Verify
- When successful click Next
- You should be presented with a message stating a existing database was found and will be upgraded.
- Click Yes
- Click button to perform Automatic setup
- When completed Click Next then Finish
- Stop vRanger API Service
- Stop vRanger FLR Service
- Restart vRanger Service
- Start vRanger API Service
- Start vRanger FLR service
