Cause
This behavior can happen if vRanger 6.1 is installed on top of an existing vRanger 6, 6.0.1, or 6.02 installation where VAs were used and the VAs themselves were not touched. The previous versions of Ranger listed used a 1.8 VA and Ranger 6.1 uses a 1.9. This error has manifested itself in situations where the newer Ranger is still using the 1.8 VA. -
Resolution
The resolution for this error, if indeed you are running a VA that is version 1.8, is to delete this VA and deploy a new 1.9 VA for use with Ranger.
The VA is deployed through Ranger, and the .ova file is part of the vRanger 6.1 installation so there is no longer a seperate download for the VA. While in Ranger navigate to Tools > Options > Virtual Appliance > Configuration > Deploy Virtual Appliance.
