Description
When backing up receive Error: 2654 - can't read phys:/tmp/9d25bb17342a0acee4f758d5c2d0cccd446078113b12e2be8c6a6afc17639749-abbt.vztemp [at io_size:131] -
Cause
A reason for this error has to do with the VM residing on an ESX 4.1 host and running as a COS-based backup with ABM enabled. -
Resolution
There are two workarounds:
1. Remove host credentials for the ESX 4.1 host from vRanger so it does not use COS backup, but rather runs as a VDDK backup.
OR
2. Disable ABM for the backup job of the VM receiving the error.
