You have need to restore a VM that is part of a vApp. Or the whole vApp.
Currently vRanger recognizes Virtual Machines in a vApp the same way as a Virtual Machine that is not part of a vApp, so when backing up and restoring, the Virtual Machines are treated the same way.
When restoring a whole vApp it is necessary to restore the Virtual Machines that make up the vApp and then recreate the vApp.
If only restoring one of the Virtual Machines of a vApp, you will need to add the restored Virtual Machine back into the vApp once the restore completes.
