In this example I am going to use Server A and Server B and User A and User B.
Server A and User A are where Spotlight is currently installed and the user that is running Spotlight.
Server B and User B are on the Remote server.
When you install Just the Management Console on Server B you need to then connect to the Diagnostic Services on Server A.
To do this with User B this account will need to be a local administrator on Server A and B, it will also need to be a member of the View only Exchange Administrators group and will need to be db_owner of the SpotlightManagmentFramework Database.
After all the permissions are in place you should be able to then connect to your Exchange organization on Server B with User B and will be able to see and make changes to all Server Health Tests.
Note: Any changes made on Server A may not reflect right away on Server B’s Console it make take a bit to populate. Our recommendation is that only one server should be making changes to the Health Tests at a given time.
