After you lay out your Topology and get it the way you want it after you close the console and open it back up it reverts back to the default configuration.
Curropted MMC
You have 2 options
A. Uninstall and reinstall Spotlight on Messaging to repair the mmc
B. 1. Go to the Start Menu and type Run and put in mmc /32 and click OK
2. Go to the File Menu and select Add/Remove Snapin
3. Add the Spotlight on Messaging Snapin
4. Make your Topology changes and save the Console to the Desktop.
