Spotlight on Messaging 7.5 does not currently support Microsoft Lync server, however Spotlight on Messaging 7.6 is scheduled to support Lync server.
We will notify you when a new release of Spotlight on Messaging is available. Please refer to the "New Features" section of the Product Release Notes for a complete list of Enhancement ID’s addressed in the new release. These are available in our Documentation section of Supportlink. Please Note that all releases are subject to change.
Also if you do see the error below during the OCS discovery phase it is because you have Lync server in your environment and Spotlight on Messaging can not enumerate Lync servers.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object
An OCS environment was found using Servername.Domainname.com, but an error has occurred while trying to find all of the servers involved in the deployment. The returned error message is Object reference not set to an instance of an object
