Why is UNKNOWN DOMAIN displayed? -
Resolution
The Server Details tab displays Unknown Domain in the Domain field if the data collection engine fails to retrieve the domain information from the selected server during discovery.
When you select the Domain option from the Current Grouping list, all servers for which domain information is unknown appear in one group labeled Unknown Domain in the Spotlight on Exchange Topology Viewer.
