Can Spotlight on Messaging database be installed on a remote SQL server which is not 'listening' on the default port 1433?
Resolution

Yes. During installation of Spotlight on Messaging, when prompted to specify SQL server name which will be hosting the Spotlight on Messaging database, type the SQL Servername followed by comma and the port number, e.g:
SQLServerName,30
