Toad for SQL Server adds tolerant platform support for Microsoft SQL Server 2025 and Windows Server 2025. In this release, Toad can be installed and run on Windows Server 2025, connect to SQL Server 2025 using all supported authentication methods, and execute core workflows such as object browsing, query editing and execution, comparison, automation, and search without critical errors.
Introducing Toad Chat, an integrated AI assistant that provides three main features: AI Explain, AI Optimize, and AI Validate.
Analyze and explain SQL queries and supported objects in plain language.
Generate optimized versions of queries for improved readability and performance.
Validate queries to detect potential errors or issues before execution.
Toad Chat features can be accessed through the SQL Editor and the CrossConnection SQL Editor, as well as via the Query tabs within the Query Builder and the Cross-Connection Query Builder. AI Explain remains available from the Object Explorer and the Script tab in View Details, with responses opening in the Toad Chat window.
