Toad for SQL Server slow performance when switching between Editors for different databases. -
Description
I have an Editor opened for one database and another Editor opened for another database. When I switch between them, the refresh is slow. It takes roughly 45 secs to a minute for the screen refresh to finish.

Resolution
WORKAROUND 1:
Go to C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for SQL Server X.X.X and run the NGenWrapper.exe. This should try to optimize Toad with respect to system.WORKAROUND 2:
If you have the Object Explorer Browser open, it does take additional resources as Toad has to re-populate it when you switch between editors, windows, etc. of two different databases on the same server or different servers. Given a large database with lots of objects, the Object Explorer will affect performance. Closing out the Object Explorer Browser should help.
