Mouse over Server Security gave "SELECT permission denied on column..." (4270161)

Given a database user without SELECT permission to the system view syslogins in the master database if you login as that user and you mouse over (not click) the Server Security node, youll get the error:

SELECT permission denied on column password of objects syslogin, database master, owner dbo.

We are NOT clicking on the Server Security node. All we have to do is put the cursor over it. In Studio Mgmt, you actually have to click on the node to get the error.

WORKAROUND:
Try getting the SELECT rights to the syslogins view.
