When I start up Toad, the initial screen for the schema compare displays for a few seconds and then is replaced by the error: " Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection".
RESOLUTION 1:
Please try:
1. Close Toad for SQL Server.
2. Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\<User Filer>\Local Settings\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for SQL Server".
3. Rename the MSSQLSchemaOptions.xml to MSSQLSchemaOptions.xml.old.
4. Launch Toad for SQL Server. The MSSQLSchemaOptions.xml file will regenerate automatically with default settings.
5. Run the Schema Compare again.
RESOLUTION 2:
1. Completely uninstalled Toad using the Add/Remove Program.
2. Deleted the applicable directories
3. Reinstalled Toad.
