Frequent Toad crashes 'Cannot listen on pipe name 'net.pipe://localhost/ToadPipeServices/'
Description

Toad 6.0 crashes frequently with the error below.
System.IO.PipeException: Cannot listen on pipe name 'net.pipe://localhost/ToadPipeServices/' because another pipe endpoint is already listening on that name.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
None.
STATUS:
This issue was fixed in Toad for SQL Server 6.1. The latest version of Toad for SQL Server can be downloaded here.
