What are the differences in license editions of Toad (Standard, Professional, Xpert, Suite)?
The Standard license edition includes:
Editor, Database Browser, Query Builder and Project Manager
The Professional license edition includes:
Everything in Standard edition plus Debugger and Knowledge Xpert
The Xpert license edition includes:
Everything in Professional edition plus SQL Tuning
The Suite license edition includes:
Everything in Xpert edition plus Benchmark Factory
Note: (Fall 2007) Changes to licensing now gives the DBA option to all users without having to purchase the module separately. Older keys may still restrict the DBA option. Go to Help | About and check that "DBA" is listed under "Licensed Components" and check to see if you have the Advanced menu in Toad. If you do not, please contact sales@quest.com or your sales rep to ask about the DBA module for Toad for SQL Server
Note: (Spring 2008) Changes to licensing now gives debugger features to standard licenses. Some screens in Toad my show Standard, even if a professional key is registered, but they are considered the same now. Verify options from under Help | Support Bundle.
