When performing a schema compare on Toad for SQL Server on two SQL Server 2012 databases; in the schema compare wizard step: "Load data from database started" under Loading Sources, the compare never finishes. Both databases have thousands of objects; 1000+ tables, 1000+ stored procedures, 1000+ views.
Running the compare on smaller databases are fine.
WORKAROUND:
Compare one object type in each compare. For example only compare Views or Procedures in the compare job.
STATUS:
Waiting for a fix in a future release of Toad for SQL Server to improve performance.
