Getting the error below when trying to open Toad for SQL Server Subscription:
Cloud application blocked by your organization
Reason: This cloud application may pose a security risk and is blocked by your organization.
Risk Level: High risk
Cloud Application: ToadWorld by Quest
URL: https://www.toadworld.com/products/toad-for-sql-server
The customer's IT organization appears to be blocking access to at least ToadWorld.
For a Subscription edition, ideally Toad should be able to access *.quest.com and *.toadworld.com.
If Toad Subscription is being used in a restricted environment, at minimum the following URLs must be accessible:
https://id.quest.com
https://licensing.toadworld.com
https://licensing-api.toadworld.com
These are required for Toad Subscription to log in, acquire entitlements, check for updates, etc.
If the environment is highly restricted and allowing access is a problem, you might consider using an offline (non-subscription) edition of Toad.
This would require contacting your Quest Sales Representative.
