In Toad for Oracle 2026 R1, users may observe that the following Schema Browser refresh options appear unchecked when reopening the Options window, even after they have been enabled and saved:
These options are located under:
View > Toad Options > Schema Browser > Left Hand Side > Refresh Schema Browser
After selecting the options and clicking Apply or OK, reopening the Options page may show both checkboxes as unchecked.
This is a display issue in the Toad Options dialog. The settings are applied correctly and the Schema Browser refresh functionality works as expected; however, the Options window incorrectly displays "After an object is created" and "After an object is altered" as unchecked when reopened.
WORKAROUND:
There is no workaround as Users can continue to enable the following options:
Even though the Options dialog may subsequently display these settings as unchecked, the Schema Browser refresh functionality remains operational.
Users can continue working normally by:
The Schema Browser will continue to automatically refresh and display object creation and alteration changes without requiring a manual refresh, despite the checkbox display issue.
STATUS:
This issue has been logged as defect ID TOR-10171 and is scheduled to be fixed in a future version of Toad for Oracle.
