Some Toad functionalities disappear spontaneously when Toad is opened.
For example sometimes it is not possible to access the tablespace view in the Schema Browser.
Whenever Toad is started the following error appears: "Application has encountered a problem and we are sorry for the inconvenience"
Toad has been installed and uninstalled but the problem persists.
Uninstall and install Toad making sure that Toad is fully uninstalled before instaling it again. To do that please follow the steps below:
1]Go to Start|All Programs|Quest Software|Quest Installer|Quest Installer and choose uninstall Toad for Oracle (uninstall all the Toad for Oracle entries you find there)
2]Please try the Windows Install Clean Up Utility: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 to clean the Toad registry entries
3]Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR_USER>\Application Data\Quest Software and delete the folder Toad for Oracle\9.7\ if exists
4]Go to C:\Program Files\Quest Software\ and delete the folder Toad for Oracle if exists
5]Install Toad again
