There is a switch between month and day when importing date from excel
Description

There is a switch between month and day when importing date from excel.
For example the 7/8/2012 is imported as 8/7/2012.
Cause

variable NLS_LANG is not properly set up or is set to null
Resolution

Make sure your NLS_Lang is properly set up.
You can check its value in Help | Support Bundle under the ORACLE CLIENT INFORMATION section
