Error received when connecting to a database using Toad:
"Access violation at address 77F83905 in module 'ntdll.dll'. Write of address 08100810."
Upgrade to the latest version of Toad for Oracle. The latest version of Toad for Oracle can be downloaded at http://support.quest.com/support_download/Downloads.asp.
If upgrading does not help you, please perform the following steps:
1) Exit out of Toad for Oracle.
2) Rename the Toad.ini and Connections.ini files to Toad.ini.old and Connections.ini.old. By default, these files can be found in the "C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files" directory.
3) Restart Toad to retest the problem.
