Toad for Oracle 10.6 and 10.6.1 read-only versions allow running SQL through SQL*Plus
Description

In Toad for Oracle 10.6 and 10.6.1 read-only versions, it is possible to execute write SQL statements via the Editor | Execute SQL via SQL*Plus. This should not be possible in a read-only installation.
Cause

This issue is caused by a defect.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
None.

Issue fixed in Toad for Oracle 11.0. The latest version of Toad for Oracle can be downloaded here.
