Toad on Terminal Server creates more than one User Files folder. -
Description
On some users profiles in Toad for Oracle 9.7.2 on terminal server, under the Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\ directory, there are multiple folders 9.7 & 9.7(1). When the new directory (1) or (2) gets created, itresults in losing all the connections and personal settings, held in the previous directory. Is there a workaround for this issue?

Resolution
WORKAROUND:
1. Copy the User Files folder from 9.7 to 9.7(1) or
2. Change the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\Installations\AppData0 - remove the value at the end - (1)
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future release of Toad for Oracle. -
Additional Information
This can also happen if the Terminal Server closes the Terminal Server session too fast for Toad that it can not write all information correctly. Try to delay ending the Terminal server session for 5 to 10 seconds.
