When trying to access Date | Import | Import Table Data, Toad seems to hang. If it doesn't hang the application up completely, it will hang temporarily and the import window will eventually come up (after a minute or two).
This is not a problem with any other Toad feature and this was not a problem with import before, and import was working without issue just previously.
Conflict with ToadActions.dat and/or Toad.ini.
WORKAROUND 1:
1. Close Toad for Oracle.
2. Go to the app data User Files directory.
For Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\<OS_USER>\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\<Version>\User Files
or
For Windows Vista and 7 - C:\Users\<OS USER>\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\<Version>\User Files
3. Rename the ToadActions.dat file to ToadActions.dat.backup, and rename the ToadActions.log to ToadActions.log.backup
4. Launch Toad and test issue.
5. If that doesn't work, go back to step 2 and also rename the toad.ini file.
WORKAROUND 2:
Take the same steps and rename the toad.ini found in the app data User Files directory.
Note, if needed, any changes can be rolled back by renaming the files back to the original.
