After installing Toad for Oracle when launched the following error is received -
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)

Cause
This is an environmental issue. -
Resolution
Workaround -
- Restart local machine/server
- Reinstall Toad for Oracle
- Launch as Administrator
- Check if you have installed the correct edition
