DB Health Check is not able to create .dat files when it contains several long database names
Description

The DB Health Check performs a series of checks on a selected database and displays the results. During this process, it creates a .dat file, which contains a concatenation of the different database names selected.
For instance the following database names "Chicago", "California", "New York", "Kansas". DB Health Check will create the file "Chicago California New York Kansas.dat". If there are long database names, Toad for Oracle won't be able to create the .dat file.
This happens when the option "Archive results from differences report" is enable in DB Health Check window in the Settings tab.
Cause

This procedure is affected by the Rules of Naming Conventions of the Operating System, it's not allowed to create very long filenames.

Resolution

Uncheck the option "Archive results from differences report" and enable the checkbox "Store results in table TOAD_HEALTH_CHECK in database being checked". This option will allow Toad to store this information in this table, and it won't create the .dat file anymore.
