Toad for Oracle 12.1.1.1 - Things to keep in mind before install Toad for Oracle patch 12.1.1.1
1. Toad for Oracle 12.1.0.22 needs to be installed in your machine. In order to check the exact version, go to Toad menu Help | Support Bundle.
2. The patch's bit version needs to match the bit version of the current installation of Toad for Oracle 12.1.0.22. In order to check te bit version of the currently installed Toad 12.1.0, go to Help | Support Bundle. It will note if it's version 32 bits or 64 bits. Install the patch accordingly.
4. A power user or administrator is required in order to install this new patch.
5. UAC (User account control settings) may need to b set to "Never Notify" at least during the installation.
6. The entire patch comes as a zip file. This patch contains a html file and the installer (Toad for Oracle 12.1.msp). If there is trouble downloading the patch, try using a different browser from IE 8.0, like Google Chrome, Firefox, etc. or update IE to version 9 or 10. Or verify there is no firewall limitation on your network (check with internal help desk or admins).

Additional Information
If there is a mistake or problem with the patch, you cannot uninstall just the patch. The whole install of Toad needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled. Go to Start | All Programs | Quest Software | Uninstall Quest Products. Uninstall Toad 12.1. Reinstall Toad 12.1.0 and the 12.1.1 patch again.
