Out of memory error when comparing two APPS schemas (all object types)
Description

When comparing two APPS schemas with all objects selected, an out of memory error occurs. This occurs with a 64-bit version of Toad on a PC with 16Gb of RAM.
Cause

Schema Compare is an in-memory module. Since APPS schema contains more than 350,000 objects a full APPS --> APPS comparison will use a substantial amount of RAM and likely cause an out of memory error if all objects are selected for comparison.
Resolution
It is recommended that the comparison is split up by object type. It may be possible to run a compare with 'Packages' alone, and then run another with all other object types. If this also errors out, then split further with:
1. Packages
2. Views
3. All other object types
Additional Information

A similar issue may occur with a 32-bit installation of Toad and Peoplesoft database. The workaround is as above.
