User goes through Toad options and sets Column Sizing to match the size of either the data or the header. On the first execution, the data grid returns and sizes the columns correctly. However, on the next execution, the column size does not change and cuts off data from the display. User must manually resize the grids with the mouse cursor.
Check if the "Save layout" options is enabled.
Go into Toad, View | Toad Options | Schema Browser | Data and Data Grids. Uncheck the option "Save layouts."
The column should now auto size to fit the data or header as specified
