When I run or launch the installation for Toad Oracle 10.0.0, I get the errors below.
ERRORS:
1)
Failed to locate the following DLL:_QIBL.DLL
2)
The exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812afb.
Perform an "extract" on the Toad installation file and then follow the steps below to manually run the MSI and EXE files from the extracted files. Please see the attached Toad Installation Guide (InstallGuide.pdf) for more information on how to extract the Toad installation file (see Silent Install section).
NOTE:
When Quest SQL Optimizer for Oracle is run on a computer with the Windows 2000, 2003, or XP Professional operating system, you must have .NET Framework 2.0 with SP1 or SP2, or NET Framework 3.5 installed.
You can download the installation program, dotnetfx.exe, from the following website:

For Windows Vista, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 is required.
Next, please install Toad and its components from the folders listed below. They must be run in the following order. To start the installation for each program, you just double-click on the .MSI or .EXE file located in each of its own folder.
STEPS:
1) Toad_Standalone
*** Step 2 to 5 below must all be installed in one location i.e. C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Knowledge Xpert
2) Knowledge_Xpert_(Engine)
3) Knowledge_Xpert_(Oracle_Common)
4) Knowledge_Xpert_(Oracle_Administration)
5) Knowledge_Xpert_(PLSQL)
6) QuestSQLOptimizer_Oracle_Common
7) QuestSQLOptimizer_Oracle
8) Toad_Data_Analysis
*** If you need to install Toad Group Policy Manager (this is not installed by majority of Toad users), please install it as Step 8 and then install the old Step 8 above as the last Step.
