When I try connect to an FTP server in Toad via Utilities menu | FTP | click on "Connect to an FTP Server" Icon | I fill out the required information, I get the error: "Logon failed: 10061: [10061] Connection refused"
This used to work. It stopped working after upgrading my Toad to the latest version (9.7.2.5). I am able to connect to the FTP site using other FTP programs.
RESOLUTION 1:
Make sure the Host Name is accurately entered.
For example:
FTP.MYFTP.COM vs. FTP.MY-FTP.COM
RESOLUTION 2:
Perform a reset of Toad:
1) Fully Exit Toad
2) Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<your_user>\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\
3) Rename the "9.7" folder to "9.7_OLD"
4) Start Toad: NOTE: You should be prompted to complete the initial Toad settings.
5) Re-Test the issue
