Error: "0RA-00942 table or view does not exist" using Explain Plan

Error received when trying to execute an Explain Plan.

"ORA-00942 table or view does not exist 'Error in opening plan tables please confirm that TOADPREP has been executed."
Resolution

1. Select View | Toad Options | Oracle | General.

2. In the "Explain Plan Tablename" enter the name of the desired plan_table you wish TOAD use. You may need to fully qualify this, for example:
USER.PLAN_TABLE
