I cannot see my Connection strings after migrating User Files from Windows XP to Windows 7 (4265680)

I have a Toad for Oracle 10.6.1 on a windows laptop with many connection strings and passwords. I want to move my User Files folder from this PC to my new Windows 7 laptop. Either though I am using the same OS username, the connection strings are not being populated in Win 7 after moving the User Files folder to proper User Profile Directory.

Compromised toad.ini file.

1. Delete your connection.ini, connectionpwds.ini and toad.ini files on your Win 7.
2. Launch Toad for Oracle 10.6 on Win 7.
3. Check the Save Passwords option in the lower left corner of the Connection/Login window.
4. Close Toad for Oracle.
5. This will create new connection.ini, connectionpwds.ini files and will set the toad.ini’s Save Password option.
6. Copy over the new connection.ini & connectionpwds.ini with your Win XP 10.6 connection.ini & connectionpwds.ini.
7. Launch Toad for Oracle on your Win 7.
8. You should be able to see your connections and have access to your passwords.
9. Your toad.ini folder will be reset with the exception of the Saved Passwords option enabled.

You will need to manually tinker and reset any main Toad settings that had set; however, all your connections and passwords will be accessible.
