The lower bar of Toad expands to just gray, and one cannot determine how to minimize it. This issue occurs randomly. Another user also had the same issues. Rebooting does not seem to affect it. Size of bottom gray area remains constant with large or small window (maximized vs. minimized).
1. Launch Toad
2. Go to the menu Utilities | Copy User Setting
3. Select Create a Clean set up user file. This will generate the default Toad 11.6.1 setting.
4. Follow the steps prompted on the screen.
Determine if this corrects the problem. If this fixes the behavior, you can bring over some important file settings from the backed up folder’s User Files folder. (i.e.: \11.6_bak2\User Files).
With Toad for Oracle closed, drill to:
C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\<version>_bak<n>\User Files
Find these files:
1. Toad.ini (contain most of your save option)
2. Connections.ini and connectionpwds.ini (Connection history and password)
3. SaveSQL.dat (your save sql)
Copy these old files into your new User Files folder:
C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\<version>\User Files
Launch Toad for Oracle to verify the above files.
