VPD Policy and support within the Toad for Oracle Professional edition
Description
User has a professional edition of the TOAD for Oracle 12.5.
In this scenario, the VPD (VPD - Virtual Private Databases) policies are managed by developers instead of the DBA. However, the professional version of the TOAD does not show VPD policies. The Toad for Oracle with the DBA Admin module has the capability to show VPD policies.
Is there a way to add VPD policies into professional edition?
Resolution
This is a feature that is controlled by licensing.
To turn it on, one needs a DBA Suite license key. If one wants to use the functionality, one will need to purchase that edition.
It is not a technical issue, but a licensing issue.
