The Open File dialogue box is extremely slow
Description

When trying to use the Open File dialogue box, it takes a long time to open. This happens when using the File menu or the icon in the toolbar.

This issue also happens when typing in filenames in the text field, while browsing mapped network drives.

WORKAROUND:
None

Issue fixed in version 12.1. The latest version of Toad for Oracle can be downloaded at https://support.quest.com/

Additional Information

The window can appear to hang Toad if there are shortcuts in a directory, pointing to invalid network shares. Also see SOL 121748 if already using Toad 12.1
